Checked 31 August 2026. What that looks like in practice on a Binbrook double: the door visibly flexes in a gust, which puts cyclic load into hinges, roller stems and the track fasteners. Over years that shows up as loose hardware, a door that starts to rattle, and eventually a roller that finds its way out of the track. If a new door is going on an exposed opening, reinforcement is a specification to ask about rather than an optional extra to decline. Two consequences worth knowing. Meltwater running back to the door line freezes overnight with the bottom seal in it, and the door either tears the seal or trips the opener's force limit in the morning. And a garage kept warm while the outside is very cold is a condensation environment: DASMA describes garage door condensation as characteristic of a warm humid garage meeting a colder door surface, names a snow-covered car as a source, and notes that even double or triple glazing can condense in a humid garage.
