Contact and hours

Calling is the fastest way to get a door looked at. If the door is stuck open, or a car is trapped inside, say that first and the call goes to the front of the queue.

Reach us

The Grimsby address is the shop and dispatch base, not a showroom counter. Doors are quoted at your house, where the opening can actually be measured.

What to have ready when you call

Thirty seconds of this on the phone often decides whether the right part is already on the truck.

  • Single or double door, and roughly how old.
  • Is there a spring above the door with a visible gap in the coil? That is a broken torsion spring, and it is the most common call we take.
  • Does the opener hum, strain, or do nothing at all?
  • Is the door closed, stuck part way, or stuck open? Stuck open is a security problem and gets priority.
  • Is a car trapped inside? Say so immediately.
  • Brand and rough age of the opener, if you can see a label on the motor housing.

Emergencies outside those hours

A door stuck open overnight is a security problem, and it is worth calling and leaving a message rather than waiting for morning. In the meantime, a door that has come off its track or has a broken spring should not be operated at all, by hand or with the opener. DASMA's guidance for a homeowner checking a damaged door is explicit that if a problem is found, the inspection should stop and a trained technician should be called rather than the door being worked on.

If the door is closed and the car is inside, see the emergency page for how to release the opener safely, and what not to do afterwards.
